March 8, 2026 - New Spelling Sheets, a Spelling List Generator, and a Bunch of New Math

Hey everyone,

This update is heavy on spelling and math - here's what's new. 🙂

Daily Reading Comprehension Update
The Daily Reading Comprehension generator has been updated. The questions it produces should now focus more on depth of knowledge - things like inference, analysis, and applying what was read - rather than simple recall from the passage. If you tried it before and felt the questions were too surface-level, give it another shot.

Spelling List Generator

You can now generate spelling lists based on a topic you type in or choose from over 300 premade lists. Just pick a topic (or type your own), and the site will build a list ready to use with any of the spelling activities. It's a quick way to get a list that actually matches what you're teaching.

New Spelling Sheet: Mystery Word

Students use a series of clues to figure out which spelling word is being described. Clues include things like what letter the word starts or ends with, how many vowels or consonants it has, specific letter positions, and more. It's a fun way to get students thinking about the structure of their words instead of just memorizing them.

New Spelling Sheet: Secret Code

Each spelling word is written as a sequence of numbers where 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, and so on. Students decode the numbers back into their spelling words. Simple concept, but it keeps practice feeling like a puzzle instead of a chore.

New Spelling Sheet: Word Attributes

This one's a little different - instead of working with individual words, students answer questions about their entire spelling list. Things like: How many words start with a consonant? How many words contain "CH"? How many words have more consonants than vowels? It gets students looking at patterns across their words and thinking about letter combinations in a new way.

New Math Sheets
A bunch of new math worksheets have been added across various topics and grade levels. If you've been looking for extra practice material, head over to the math section and browse around - there's a good chance something new is in there for you.
